Carla – Optician
Carla Waylett, an American Board Certified Optician, joined Dr. Broady in 1991. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Cal State University, Fullerton. Carla has spent many years custom edging lenses and has a great knowledge in the ever changing world of lens technology. As office manager, Carla can answer your insurance questions, custom fit your glasses and train you to be an accomplished contact lens wearer. Also with a flare for selecting and fitting eyewear, Carla can help you make your eyewear decisions.
In her free time, Carla loves to travel. Some of her travels include the Caribbean, Europe and the Mediterranean. She and her husband Randy reside in Fountain Valley and coach a girl’s softball team together.
Kellie – Optician
Kellie Myers was born and raised in Chico, California. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Physiology from Cal State University, Chico. Kellie discovered her love for the optometric field while working in her father-in-law’s Optometry office for four years. In 2008, she and her husband Dan moved to Southern California and joined our team. Kellie is an American Board of Opticianry certified Optician and can help you with selecting a frame to match your personal style, prescription needs, and life style. Kellie can also help you with all of your contact lens needs and answer any of your insurance questions.
Gena – Optician
Gena Lay has 4 years of experience as a dispensing optician. She recently joined our practice and is studying and preparing to take the examination to be Board Certified by November 2011. She can answer your questions about insurance and enjoys helping you select the frame that best fits your personal style and prescription needs. Also, as a contact lens wearer, she can answer most of your contact lens questions and train you how to wear your lenses.
With a love for learning, Gena is beginning to edge lenses (cut lenses to fit frames) and loves the new tools and technology.
Gena is studying English Literature at Cal State University, Fullerton. Gena is also a big movie-buff and loves attending concerts, shows and other events in her spare time. She resides in Garden Grove and loves body-boarding at the beach. Gena hopes to travel the world someday.
